Dear Men of the 603 West Wabash Community:
We are wrapping up the first full year of operations for 603 WW Inc, the not -for-profit Alumni Group associated with the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at Wabash College. It has been a highly successful year from many standpoints - especially given the overall environment in which we are all living. For 2020, we have 40-45 dues paying Members and we have developed a professional website -www.603WWAlumni.com. We have become fully incorporated as a Not-For-Profit and we are able to receive deductible donations which further the long term work of 603 WW. We have the beginnings of an Endowment Fund-the long term goal is to provide income to support various 603 programs.
We welcome your 2020 dues contributions at the $50.00 level...or up to $100.00 as you see fit. Endowment gifts of a larger size are encouraged and discussion with a Member of the Finance Committee will facilitate your gift. All instruction and portals for charitable gifts directed toward 603 WW are found on the 603WWAlumni.com website under the "Dues" tab. PayPal, Zelle and Google Pay are among the payment options available. A written check sent to Treasurer Dan Koeppel is welcomed as well.
Our 603 WW Group was forced to cancel the Annual Monon Bell Celebration in November as the entire Wabash Football weekend and related celebrations were called off. As a replacement, a stalwart group of fifteen or so 603 WW Members decided to gather at Camp Rotary near Crawfordsville to enjoy good fellowship, ample nourishment and guest entertainment .There was a visit to the New Ross Steak House and music at the Camp provided by Hunter and Girton. The 2020 Monon Bell Game has been rescheduled for the weekend of November 12,13 & 14, 2021 in Crawfordsville at the newly constructed Little Giant Stadium. As such, the Board of 603 WW has scheduled a major Alumni Event-The Squatfest- for the November 11th -14th weekend in 2021. Please mark this date on your calendars. Details on this weekend will come from Charley Hutchins '76 and Jim Evans '77 as we get closer to the date. Hotel Reservations are available at the Best Western in Crawfordsville for those planning a visit. The Best Western/Crawfordsville has served us very well over the years and has become a HQ's of sorts for 603 Alumni Events.
Lastly, the Classes of 1975 and 1976 will gather with other reunion Classes on the Weekend of June 4th-6th, 2021 in Crawfordsville. 603 WW has decided that a gathering is in order for our larger 603 group that weekend. Please save the date and we are looking forward to hearing from Dan Walters'79, John Murphy '82, Randy Allen '77 and Craig Schroer'79 relative to arrangements. Best Western / Crawfordsville will likely be the common lodging space and Camp Rotary has been reserved for the weekend.
