Dear Men of the 603 WW Community:
Happy New Year from the extended family of 603 WW. As you know, 603 WW is the Alumni Group whose Membership is comprised of Men who have shared the experience of living in the 603 West Wabash Avenue building in Crawfordsville as Members of the Delt House at Wabash. It is a varied group with lots of representation from various backgrounds and professions. Many Members are married with families who live within a drivable distance from Crawfordsville. We also have a good Eastern contingent. The one key ingredient is the College experience and, particularly, the Wabash Delt experience. We are building the 603WW Alumni Group and, as you would expect, we need your help. A quick visit to the www.603WWAlumni.com website will get you up to date with the mission and some of the upcoming activities which welcome your support. For access to the website simply click on the password which is already entered at www.603WWAlumni.com. Visit the Dues tab to get registered.
Of particular interest to Members are two upcoming events:
June 4-6,2021 in Crawfordsville is the Big Bash Alumni Weekend. As the 2020 Reunions were cancelled last year, 2021 will bring double the fun and double the numbers of returning Classes to the Campus. 603WW Leadership has announced that all 603 WW participants will be welcome to join in the 603 weekend schedule which will be carefully arranged not to conflict with the College schedule. Dan Walters is chairing the Reunion weekend for 603 which will also include the use of Camp Rotary in Crawfordsville for meals and entertainment. There will almost certainly be a traditional visit to the New Ross Steakhouse as well as an afternoon visit to the Backstep Brewery. A great Spring 2021 weekend will be had in Crawfordsville.
As you have probably already seen, the Monon Bell Weekend 2021 is scheduled for Crawfordsville this year. A wonderful tradition was begun by this group in 2018 - a large gathering organized by 603WW. We had @80 Men with their families in 2018 and I expect many more this fall. The Event is planned for November 12-14th with Headquarters at the Best Western Hotel in Crawfordsville. I understand that Co- Chairs Hutchins and Evans have arranged once again for use of Camp Rotary for the three days. It is a delightful space out by Sugar Creek There will be a large 603 Tent in Mud Hollow for Game Day activities including Bloody Mary’s and Lunch. This is an event not to be missed..lots and lots of fun in the best sense of the word. Bring your Classmates and fellow Delts for a memorable time.
As mentioned earlier, 603 WW is a dues paying operation. Suggested dues are $50.00 per year and suggested additional contributions up to $100. are welcomed as you are able. Larger gifts oriented toward Endowment are certainly encouraged and easily transmitted through the 606WWAlumni.com website. Dan Koeppel '75 is our Treasurer and will gladly field any financial questions. We do need dues paying Members for 2021. Please visit the site and send along your 2021 dues and contributions.
