March 2022 Newsletter

Dear Wabash Delt:

As we begin our 2022 calendar year, I thought we should write to encourage your support for 603 WW and update you on some of our activities.

You know that 603 WW, Inc is a 501[c]3 Corporation organized and run by the Beta Psi Alumni of Wabash College. We are independent of the College and the Fraternity. Our mission-best described in full on the 603 WW Website -www.603WWAlumni.com- (Password: WABASH) is to support the general mission of the Graduate Fraternity of the Delt House at Wabash.

We operate 603 WW as a dues paying organization with an Annual Gift of $50.00 - $100.00 per man per year. This fund provides operating monies needed to run the membership operation. We encourage your participation as a dues paying Member to help shoulder the day-to-day costs of 603 WW...this is easily accomplished via the 603 WW website under the "Pay Dues" tab. Thank you in advance for your participation.

In addition to the Annual Dues effort, we maintain two separate and different permanent funds: The 603 WW Endowment Fund and the 603 WW Graduate School Test Preparation Assistance Fund.

The Endowment Fund is a Permanent Investment Fund with a long-term goal of provision of financial support for the work of 603WW. We envision the Fund growing to a sufficient size where one day the income generated from the Fund will be sufficient to help support 603 initiatives and operations. To be clear, we are not yet close to an Endowment size which will permit any use of the assets or the income. The Fund is in an accumulation phase and will be for some years to come. We welcome your interest in supporting the longer-term approach of building this asset pool for 603 WW through your larger charitable gifts earmarked for Endowment.

Our second Endowment effort is in the area of creating a pool of assets designed to assist Beta Psi Undergraduates in their pursuit of Graduate Educational opportunities as they leave Crawfordsville.

We have established an Endowment-the income from which will be used to assist undergraduates with costs associated with test study in preparation for various Graduate School Admission Tests. Currently, the Fund can pay one half the cost of preparation for the tests up to a maximum of $1,000. per man.

We believe that the work of this Endowment can grow to provide additional funding for the pursuit of Graduate Education by Wabash Delt Alumni. We welcome your gifts in support of the Graduate School Test Preparation Fund.

603 WW is growing nicely in many areas. Graduate Social Events surrounding Alumni Weekends and Monon Bell are met with enthusiasm and strong attendance. The Dues Membership process is warmly received and we urge your participation in 2022. 603 WW now has 40-50 active dues paying Members. We would like to see that number grow to 80-100 Members.

Lastly, the two Permanent Endowment Funds are in place and growing nicely through new gifts and prudent stewardship of the assets.

I appreciate your interest and participation in all things "603'.
